An elegant composition of flowers rising from the left and gently turning toward the light creates an uplifting feeling. It brings pattern and joyous colour to the fluid red lines characteristic of Shaun's drip drawing style. Featuring chrysanthemums and carnations, their symbolism reflects themes of love, admiration and emotional connection. Given the chrysanthemum’s long association with mothers, known affectionately as mums, the work also gestures toward the maternal figures who nurture and guide us.

Created as one of a pair, this work stands comfortably on its own or in dialogue with Petals Rising (Right).
